And yet after Reid triggered the nuclear option in the Senate, the GOP did have all the opportunity they needed to shove it through and make it stick. Too bad the GOPe RINO's did exactly what they always do, snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Why didn't the 115th Congress, with Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy and Steve Scalise pass real border security legislation? Why didn't VP Pence, Orrin Hatch, Mitch McConnell and John Cornyn ensure identical legislation pass in the Senate? Were they all afraid that President Donald J. Trump would veto it? NO! They didn't do it for the same reason they didn't pass the Hearing Protection Act. They don't really want to solve these problems, because then they wouldn't be able to con people out of millions of dollars in campaign funds on the false premise that they would! When the DNC was in control they shoved the ACA down out throats. The very best the GOP could muster in response was failure after failure after failure to repeal it, while not managing to pass any legislation of similar impact as the ACA for the 2 YEARS they held control. When the going gets tough, the GOP gets to fundraising, just like the NRA. It's all a big scam, and we're the victims! :censored:
