Inherited this S&W 10/Victory/M&P, from my father. He carried it as a part-time night watchman, when I was in High School, in the '60s. He bought it used at a gun shop in our hometown. The history goes something like this: these were part of the USA "Lend-Lease" program with the Allies in WWII. These models were in .38 S&W, and were sent to England, there to be converted to .38 SPL by "Cogswell & Harrison". this particular batch were then sent back to the RCMP. As far as I know, "...never a shot fired in anger...". The numbers under the crane read: 131 26. Any thoughts on there designation? I don't have the link to the S&W ID pages.
