[QUOTE="dennishoddy, post: 3856617, member: 5412"] It's not a rant, it's the facts, like em or not. You have may or not noticed that most of the folks on this forum are not wealthy people with a lot of free time to pursue political ambitions, nor the children of wealthy people that can dedicate their lives to public service in an elected position some of which are non-paid positions. Now, if you review the credentials of most school board members, City commission members, and so on, they have wealth or are spouses of wealth. It's pretty easy to look that up using voting records, and other internet assets. Of course, there are the anomalies like the Republican truck driver that took over the NY seat after spending a couple hundred bucks which indicates the person holding that office was a really bad person to hold that office, but that's very rare. Suppose we support a law/regulation/whatever that says school board members must represent the political ideals of the constituents they represent and make less than $50,000 a year as a total family income? If that income substantially increased with no way to track why, they were no longer allowed to hold that office. (Political bribes) That would create a school board that actually represents the kids going to school in that district. Standardized test scores equal across the board would in a few years determine what the school board members are doing within their districts. Good or bad. If test scores are going down in one district, replace the school board and institute a new group dedicated to reading, math, science, and geography. Any woke crap results in a total firing of the school board. Kids are in school to learn and not become subjects of woke socialist test subjects. Joseph Mangla did that in WWII in the death camps.
