Went to Elk City WM around noon today, only stuff left was quite a few blue box PPU 40's and 3 of same brand 9's, all $7/50...woman working there said when corporate finally let them do the big markdown, she repriced it all and then posted the new prices on her personal FB page, and it left in a hurry

I have learned something from this thread: Some of you guys used $20 in gas driving to Walmart's all around town to save $10 on ammo, you guys need to visit the retirement thread for some financial advice!!! :)

I had to go run an errand for my wife at Walmart today because she wasn't feeling well. While I was waiting on a prescription I decided to walk on back to the sporting goods. Picked up WWB 230 grain 45 auto for $17.00/100rds. That was a nice surprise because from reading this thread I didn't think there was any to be had.

Not me. I had to visit my VA provider, getting travel pay. Walmart just around the corner. :D
Buying 3900 rounds, I saved more than $10. :hey3:

Edit: Let me back up just a bit. I'm a reloader, so I basically saved my time to load that many rounds and some money because I couldn't even buy the bullets to load for the price of loaded ammo. So I saved time, primers, and powder.
Not a bad deal.

At .10 per round, that's a great price. Wish I had gotten some before they ran out. The guy at Wal-Mart said they're not going to be carrying those calibers that were on sale any more and that Wal-Mart was just getting rid of all of their stock. He said no stores around OKC have any 9mm left.

Went to Academy and got 250 rounds of
Federal Black Pack 9mm Luger 115-Grain FMJ for 45.00 (.18 per round). Shot 'em all today and it seemed like pretty good ammo.

Academy has 50 round boxes of Fiocchi 9mm 115 grain for .16 per round. Winchester 9mm is .16 per round in a 500 round box. Don't know about those brands.

H&H had Browning 150 rounds for $20 (.13 per round) a week or so ago. Probably a sale. There was plenty of it and I only bought one box. Academy has that same Browning 124 gr for just under .17 per round. It's probably the best deal. The 150 rounds I shot seemed to work great.

Walmart takes a stand! Well...fine. The ammo counter is what often got me in the dang place to begin with; well, that and all the hawt chicks, that is.

I have shot Fiocchi and WWB many times no issues. I haven't shot browning but talked to a guy in the last week that was talking about having problem with duds at the range.
