Message: <blockquote data-quote="cktad" data-source="post: 3417070" data-attributes="member: 2521"><p>I took a course in interpersonal communications back in the early 1970's.  It was really interesting as everyone has a filter based on their life experience.  You can say the same thing to several people and not all of them will interpret it the same way.  An example given in the class was the phrase world peace or peaceful coexistence.  The instructor said in the Soviet Union it meant world wide communism but it meant something totally different than in the USA.  Just like racial equality, it means something different depending on who is saying it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
