Well when you get ready to mount a bird, let me know, I know a guy who'll do a first class job that won't break the bank. I'd put his birds up against any taxidermy displays I've seen for 3x the $$$ and those that display their awards on their websites.

Absolutely. I've seen several hacked jobs of "taxidermy" work on birds.

Got my first mallard today. If I could shoot decent I woulda had 3. Lol. First time I have ever set out decoys. 2 ducks came in right before legal time then right at legal time a group of about 20 came on the decoys and i opened up. It was awesome. I may be getting hooked.

It's hard not to get hooked when those birds come flying into your spread. Then you take one or two from that group.......and as you're catching your breath from the excitement, some more come screaming in to check out your spread.

Yeah it's totally addictive.

I shot a coot years ago, the green, prehistoric looking legs really made me rethink that decision.

Birds flew really late this evening, only had one wave of mallards come in during legal shooting time. Beautiful out this evening though.

Skunked this morning.

I was almost skunked this morning. Had 2 pintails give me a look and proved to get shot further up the lake. I was about to pack it in when I saw some coot swimming in. I waited until they got to 20 yards and unloaded....Still have yet to triple up :p
