Waterproofing leather boots

Sno Seal........I had a pair of Vasque hiking boots for 30 years...used sno seal on them 2-3 times a year....worked well....use a hair dryer after applying to melt it in good.

...They used bacon grease for stuff to but i dont remember what.

Frying eggs in.

I have used Sno Seal for years and years, good stuff...

I've had decent result with some stuff called 'boot lube'
