With the way things are trending, the following may become a necessity at some point:
A Classifieds section that can only be viewed by and used by members who meet the following: Be a site Supporter, have a minimum post count of X, and have been a member for at least a year
In the current Classifieds format, we have the prerogative to only do business with members we recognize or have had dealings with in the past. However, it would be worth paying for a Supporter membership to have a Classifieds section that is un-viewable by non-Supporters and unestablished members. The membership levels are priced very reasonably so the barrier to entry is minimal. The existing Classifieds could stay active for users who don't meet these requirements (and Supporters could still choose to post, there). However, it would be a nice benefit to have a Classifieds section (and other sections, too?) behind a pay wall. My $0.02
