I'm a United fanboy, I've never had an issue with them. In fact, coming back from Vegas a few years ago the pilot must have overheard one of our conversations in the terminal or something, because once we boarded the plane I had a stewardess come back and inform me that the pilot wishes to speak with me. I go up to the cockpit and he asks me, "So, you live in Midwest City, huh? That's where I'm from!" and we chat for about 10 minutes before it's time to get ready for take off. This flight was delayed due to something that occurred at the airport prior to McCarran in Vegas and we had a layover somewhere that, if the plane were on time, we would have had time to land and maybe grab a quick bite and just catch our next flight before it took off. Mid-flight, the stewardess came back to my seat again and informed me that the pilot has arranged for someone to meet me, my brothers and my dad at the gate to take us to our next flight. Sure enough, when we exit the plane there's airport staff waiting with a golf cart. They rushed us to our next gate and we barely caught our flight. I wish I would have gotten his name, because he damn sure deserved some recognition for what he did and it forever made a United fanboy out of me. Regarding Denver airport, one of the smoking lounges/bars has an incredible view. I had to accompany my flight party to one on another trip to/from Vegas and we sat down at a bar running along floor-to-ceiling windows. I tolerated the thick smoke in the air because the bloody mary and the view made it worth it.
