After lengthy discussions this last weekend we came to the decision that we should go our seperate ways. It's going to be really strange for a while with "nothing" to take up my time anymore. I guess this is a good time start shooting more and finally take up reloading.

All in all, I feel like a little pain right now will have avoided a future mega mess...with children involved (which we don't have right now.)

Any advice you can send my way, go ahead.

Wow, even though you imply it was a mutual decision, I'm still sorry to hear. Mutual or not, there's no way it's easy and painless.

Not sure what lead to this, but I'm a huge fan of taking marriage seriously while the rest of the world files for divorce left and right (sometimes it's inevitable, so I'm not attacking individuals). I think it's better that you guys called off a wedding rather than went through with it and came up with the same decision later on and called off the marriage.

Getting back into the swing of things will be one of the hardest parts, but will get easier with time.

Good luck to both of you.

Sounds like you both made the right decision. It is good that you got out before you made the plunge and kids got involved. I have known people that gotten married for the wrong reasons and were miserable.

Sure, it will sting for a while, but keep busy and enjoy your free time for a bit before you retest the waters. Like you said, take up some new hobbies. You will know when it is time to jump back in.

Good luck.

Things happen for a reason, good lord has something better in store for you. Take it as a stepping stone, the one is still out there so make sure you keep searching for her. That one person will truly make you happy, good luck bud.
