Message: <blockquote data-quote="montesa" data-source="post: 4231443" data-attributes="member: 477">Yes it's a normal transmission.  I think transmissions from this era are better than new ones.  I have a friend with a 2019 explorer that he had to sell cheap because the transmission went out just after warranty.  So of course it can happen with any car anytime.Just wanted to throw it out there just in case.  Otherwise I'll hang on to it.  Can't let it go for less than 2000 plus the price of the pulley repair (probably cheap).   Not a lot of decent cars out their for that.   It may be better for you to spend a little more and get something newer.    Unless it's a Honda or Toyota, I doubt it will be better.</blockquote>
