Well, there's your problem!

I have way more than 42 projects in various states of disassemlly.

I spend half my time wondering why I have some of the junk I have. Why did I buy this?

Me? I’m always happy when my mistakes don’t make the news.

I always underestimate my ability to eff something up. Especially when "I know what I'm doing".

Oddly enough, I had the gas tube roll pin disappear about a week ago. Been a great shooter and then bang, not even trying to cycle. Easy fix though.

Wierd thing for me is that I can often remember what I bought it for. Just can't figure out if I still have whatever it was I bought the part for...

I had a gas tube break right through the middle of the gas hole. No big deal....I thought.....I'll just knock out that little roll pin, grab a tap and run it in there to grab the stub of the broken gas tube end and pull it out. Fairly new adjustable gas block that was kinda spendy with the little flip switch for suppressed, or non suppressed. Anyway, end result? Broken tap, stub still in gas block, gas block in trash.

Sounds like you were at stoner spec when you forgot the roll pin…

Too late for this one. Is the block aluminum or steel? If aluminum, you cas use alum in water to dissolve enough of the steel tap to get it out. Alum is usually found in either the spice aisle or with the canning supplies in your grocery store.

Tap tapped into stainless steel gas tube stub. Pulled on tap and it parted about 1/2 way in gas block. No need for canning supplies
