Well, as a young 74-year-old, I think I have found my niche. Wife and I are currently in South Dakota with plans to see Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands, the Black Hills, Devil's Tower, and a few nice roads to drive in the Black Hills. Of course, we are taking pictures. Coming up through Nebraska today, I got pulled over by a Highway Patrolman. I was doing 5 mph over the 65 mph speed limit. He asked me if I knew how fast I was going and I said 70. He asked if I knew the speed limit and I said 65. He then said, "well, since you are so honest, I'll just give you a warning." We visited with him and a Sheriff's deputy that also stopped to back him up and told them that we had retired from the OSBI. So, we had a good visit and went on our merry way... ...10 miles down the road and I was back to 5 over the speed limit. Some guys never learn. I think that may be my 3rd time in 60 years of licensed driving that I was pulled over by a highway patrolman. (The other two times actually cost me, though.) All that said, watch your driving in Northern Nebraska.
