Single stack 1911's have always been my choice in 45acp.
But what would I know, all mine are in the junker class.
FN P45, not good as a carry piece, but for a bedside pistol it's great......

1911, I have had my 1911, marked as U.S property and made in 1918, since 1967, I have other pistols, revolvers but when I go shooting its still the first one I pick up. I have had one part break so far and that was the extractor about 10 years ago. Its pretty hard to convince me that newer is better.
