Can't really describe it too well, that has always been difficult for me... a good bit sweet, full-bodied, a little smoky - but not in a bad way. I don't like strong strong smoke, it tears up my gut. But this stuff is pretty good, I like it a lot. Also sweet, not as robust as the Black Barrel, but much, much smoother. This is NOT what I expected from an Irish whiskey at ALL. A splash of water and this is one of the smoothest ones I've had in a quite a while. I'm definitely going to get more of this! And, an even better deal at about $32 (as compared to the Black Barrel).</blockquote>
