For me, most were all from my great grandpa, he was born in the 1870s. His black powder rifle, that is one heavy gun, black powder shotgun, then either his colt 1903 pocket hammerless .380 or my grandpas single shot .22 from 1937 I believe.

One of these 3...I keep meaning to do some research to nail down their manufacture year.
The Williams & Powell as well as the Springfield were part of my great grandpas collection.

I prefer more “modern” firearms I can take to the range with commercial ammo (before the current ammo drought, anyway). 1940s is as far back as I have.

My father's Smith & Wesson K frame Military & Police, pre model 10 from the close of WWII. My mother's Baby Browning .25ACP from the 1960's. And my good friends Smith & Wesson model 19-3 snub from the early 1970s.
