Forget even looking at what kind of group you get at 100 yards. I have had guns that shot well at 100 yards.. under 1" and move out to 200 it is 1.5" move to 300 and it is 7". Shoot something in this 20+ mph direction changing Oklahoma wind and find out what I am talking about. Heavier bullet than those 75 grain things really buck the wind better..But if you can read wind and shoot then no issues there. Any good bolt or good AR can do what you want. Have you shot your AR at 500 yards and at paper that you can measure the group? Just curious. Now my friend Frank sighted in a 7MM mag that had a brake on it .. a modded custom brake and he said it recoiled less than a semi auto 223. He was very amazed and decided to set the gun on the bags and let it free recoil..Moved less than 1/2". The guy that modded the brake took into account the twist direction etc.. So you can have a thumper round with the right stuff.
