You will get a little dirty water until your well settles in.
Blitsfike, we got the same advice from the Oklahoma DEQ office. We do it as well.

You still need to do a annual test for nitrates, etc especially if you life in an area with a lot of septic systems or around an area where a lot of livestock live.

First hit will be the DEQ of Ok. I think they do a water well test for $23.

Went to Blacksmith association picnic today in Elk City and on the way home scored a 15KW single phase onan generator on a trailer. Its a gas version, so will be more easily converted to propane. I have a demand regulator and carb from a fork lift that should be about right for this little 4 banger...
