If the route is too long to be served in a timely manner by the carrier on it now they need to cut it and/or address their performance. Postmasters name used to be Jeff but that’s been a while. Delivery past 5 pm should be an exception and not the norm. My last job in the district every post office had to report how many carriers out past 5 the previous day and why to my office.
