Recently got a ticket in a well known speed trap so thats pretty much on me, but its the first ticket I've had in over 40 yrs! I've had MANY verbal and even a couple written warnings though. Even got a warning from a OK State Trooper and those guys start out pissed. Why? Because when I get pulled over I kiss ass like I'm talking to Barney Fife and Thelma Lou just left him with blue balls once again. I've avoided THOUSANDS of dollars in tickets by being polite, friendly, and cooperative. Theres a time to make a stand but every bump is not a hill to die on. Use common sense, it will get you much farther than thorough knowledge of the law when dealing with most cops.
