What is wrong here?

I looked at my wife's S&W 22A-1 pistol before cleaning it and saw these two shiny gouged areas. Is this something I should be concerned about or is it normal? Has NOT been dry fired unless at the gun shop before we bought it. I did not notice it then.

I only see one shiney area; looks like thats where the extractor hits when the bolt cycles.
looks normal to me.

Thanks Mike. The other shiny spot is where the spot (glare) is to the upper left of the bigger one. It is much smaller and not gouged like this one.
