I have an older 1897 I reload for and came up with a 1oz shot load that’s only around 6,800psi. It will eat a steady diet of those all day long. Also have this German Combo gun from 1891 that I load with BP in brass shells I grabbed from Buffalo Arms. Boy is that a different experience shooting BP loads, completely changes the lead and you have to about double the distance because the shot is moving so much slower than with smokeless powder.
