What size shot? Doesn’t make since if you don’t know what size ducks your after, then you work your chokes for what you have. I stock #1 and #2 steel. #1 on mallards or geese. I shoot an over/under which is a big advantage. Do they flare up to the decoys or are they turning short or call shy? IC/ modified for mallards @ 30-35 yards, wound to many any further with steel. CYl/skeet/IC for teal or wood ducks. Geese depending on if you’re pass shooting or in a blind. Pass shooting Mod/ full. Got my limit on quail in Kansas hunting pheasant in a green tree area using #2 steel and a cyl/ skeet chokes. That trip enlighten me even more on working chokes with steel. I see what’s coming and use the proper chokes , I’ve been known to go skeet modified if it a mixed bag. JMO
