What would you use to shoot turtles around the pond?

This a new pond that I built last year and several months ago stocked with fish and right now it is turtle heaven. I don't know if I can keep them shot out of there or not. I appreciate all of the ideas. Thanks...

You should be able to "keep them shot out". About 5 years ago, my five acre pond was filled with turtles. Over the Spring and Summer, I cleared the pond of most of the turtles by shooting. I was using a 22 hornet but the subsonic 22 LR should work just as well. By the way, the turtle population in the pond is still under control.

Just for informational purposes only, don’t try this at home ect.. Use a 12 oz pop bottle stuffed with copper wool pot scrubber. I think that they are called chore boys . You can get them at wal-mart or dollar tree. Do not use steel wool it will catch on fire.
