There's a man name Rob ski from Russia, who operates the AK operators union, he called the 7.62x39 outdated and boy did he catch flack.. The cartridges of today have evolved and are better than the "old" days, sure they still pack a punch and work fine and dandy.. But "change" is inevitable.. It's likely been 2 years that the 40 cal guns can be bought cheaper but ammo is not.. Easy nailed it though..

Well.... The Russians dont use it anymore, so theres that. Yeah it still works but there are far better bullets out now that do a nastier job at tearing up tissue than straight Ball ammo. Russian 5.45mm 7N6 is VERY effective, has the same range and is lighter too boot. Too bad more people didnt step up and scream about it being banned like with M855. It doesn't beat armor any better than M855 does which isn't saying a lot.
