I try to do at least one 'good deed' a week. I like picking up an older person's bill at the grocery store. You can tell the ones that are struggling by 'reading' their basket---no brand names, no junk, beer, etc. Most times just the old time staples to get by to the next month.

I guess that I'm stingy. It's more for me than them. People talk about finding the Genie's Lamp and making the wishes. I think that I may have found the lamp and made just one wish --- to always have what I need. So far, it's worked out pretty well!

It was a nice day so I went hog hunting - kinda. Sat in a ground blind on a comfortable chair with the windows open, making snacks from one of those small cracker, cheese, and meat trays you can buy. Boatload of turkeys walked by and about 20 minutes later they came back, haulin' ass the other way. Right before sundown, I walked a big loop and changed out all the cards on the cameras. It gets cold fast when the sun is almost down but it was a good peaceful afternoon.

My day was made when I heard some people who pride themselves in concealed carry say you cant shoot precisely with a pistol at 25 yards and shooting any target over 3’ is insanity. I laughed, I cried, It was something.
Maybe they were talking about knives? 3' seems like a reasonable stab or slash. And it is VERY hard to hit precisely at 25 yds!

I dont think in terms of practical accuracy that its all that difficult. The human chest is quite large and the head is also quite large. Im learning that very few people train for “precision handgunning”. Such as limited exposure hostage shots across a room. Or any hostage type target work. Since Ive been introduced to red dots on pistols, Its crazy how precise shots can be. Now Im not talking at fast speeds, Im not that good. Lol

Getting to drop off stuff for RickN, took him some computer parts and chatted for a few minutes. He gave me some fresh pears in return. I like getting to meet up with you guys every now and then. We had an eat n shoot that was in the planning stages recently, but it seemed to have fizzled. We definitely need another one after Christmas.

Started out this morning making a magazine plug for my new to me Mossberg 930, received a watch I ordered myself , played with my 4 legged brats and have corn bread with jalapenos in the oven to go with a big pot of beans that have been cooking since 11am. So a peaceful day hanging at the house . Will finish the evening off later with a glass of home brew blueberry mead.......... This whole day has been "making my day". Cheers.
