What's the deal with Obama's photo?

Hey, what is the deal with this unretouched photo of Obama? It was on the Fox News web site today as part of a story they had posted. Look at the dark outline on the side of his face & forehead.. that doesn't look like a tan line or make-up! It looks almost like he is wearing a mask of some kind. Underneath, he looks about as white as Biden.
