Whats the difference between a Bravo 1 and a Bravo 2 outdrive?

Alpha: Rated for engines up to 300 hp and single or twin boats up to 65mph.
Bravo: Rated for engines up to 400 hp.
Bravo X: Rated for engines up to 450 hp.
Bravo Diesel X: Rated for many diesel engines up to 320 hp.
Bravo One XR: Rated for 600 hp.
Bravo Three XR: Rated for 525 hp.
Bravo One: For performance boats in excess of 100 mph with one, two, or three engines.
Bravo Two: For big twin engine boats up to 55 mph.
Bravo Three: For single engine boats up to 65 mph or twin engine boats between 40-65 mph.

•Bravo 2: The Bravo 2 sterndrive is designed for twin engine applications and can power a boat up to 55 mph for gas engines up to 450 HP. With a wide gear case, the Bravo 2 is able to accommodate a propeller up to 20” in diameter that propels a boat on plane faster and improves fuel economy.
•Bravo 3: MerCruiser’s Bravo 3 outdrive feature counter-rotating dual propellers that improve propulsion efficiency, speed, acceleration and handling on a boat. The two props are mounted in front of one another and turn in opposite directions eliminating wasted energy from the propeller wash. The Bravo 3 is available in a single or twin engine application and is capable of speeds up to 65 mph for gas engines up to 525 HP.

Looks light Bravo 1 is for lighter faster boats and the Bravo 2 is for slow heavy cruisers.

They both suck if your going to put any power to them. I didnt know you were a boat guy also. Im a lake rat from way back in the day. Big power lake rat!
