When you sell a firearm to an OSA member, friend, or someone from armslist.com what steps do you take? 1) I prefer to meet at a local range for three reasons. The first being it's not odd seeing someone with a firearm in the parking lot. Second there are a lot of other armed individuals besides myself. Last but not least if the person wants to test the firearm they are more than welcome to on their own dime. 2) I never go unarmed (CC) or alone and I always bring at least two people with me. 3) I ask for an ID to make sure the individual I'm selling the firearm is of age to purchase said firearm (21 for handguns and 18 on all other firearms). 4) I remember the license plate of the vehicle that they drove and keep all info from our contact (cell phone, e-mail, ect) Are there any other steps you guys think I should implore to make my transactions safer? I'm open to any suggestions and would like to know what others do during their face to face meets?
