Other than a Rem 1100 I bought just because it was too cheap and resold in the 80's, I've never sold a gun from my collection.

This ... I let GC trade my beloved Colt Gold Cup for a rifle he wanted because I just can't shoot regularly anymore. Even a .22 will send me to bed for days after. Still ... I got the twinge the second the guy's face lit up when he pulled the trigger on it at the trade.

Oh well ... what's done is done ... and GC is happy ... sigh ...

As a couple of others have said, I sell or trade away firearms depending on my mood. Sometimes I feel like delving into M1 Garands, other times I hanker after a tactical shotgun. I was on a 1911 kick for a while, but sold them all - and now I'm in the mood for a round-butt 1911SC E-Series. Why hang onto a firearm that just sits and collects dust, if there's no sentimental attachment? Put the money to better use elsewhere, is how I see it.

I only buy/trade/sell the 'used' firearms that I bought used, never anything I bought new. A few regrets but for the most part Ive done pretty good at it.
