Other than jiminez and Taurus why does no one make a quality small 22lr? I mean while I don't think they should be extremely popular I do see a place for them. Just something baby browning sized or Colt vest pocket.

The issue with shorty .22 is they can't develop the velocity needed to be an adequate SD gun.
It will work for sure with a lucky shot, but that's it.

The Sterling(No longer manufactured) was a half way decent one. I have one in 22LR and one in 25ACP.

Agreed. You can get a 22, a 25, or a 32 in that platform and with Beretta quality.
S+W 2213 or 2214, great small .22, and you can use the 10 or 12 round mags from the larger 422/622/2206 models.

Walther also makes a PPK in .22
I feel like the berettas are too big. I think something Browning sized would be more popular.
If the Beretta is too big, then you are wanting a tiny gun. The 21A is pretty small...
