Here's what gets me. Every time something bad happens where a firearm is involved, the media wins. Ratings go up, more people tune in, they start having forums and debates on morning talk shows, etc. If they showed the hundreds (or maybe thousands) of firearm uses to SAVE A LIFE or STOP A CRIME that happen every day how would they scare us into watching their show every day? I especially love the look of "concern" on their faces when they interview people. The only thing media outlets are concerned with are themselves and ratings when tragedy happens.
