looks like the home owner after getting shot three times in the torso with a .38 will survive. talk about lucky or great medical care and/or both.

it's also the reason why I've switched to .357 in my CCW.

Well of course this happens the day when I know i left my gun out on the night stand. I'm waiting to get my license back but for now I just keep the gun beside the bed under the night stand in its case but still it doesn't take a genius to figure that out. Talk about a reality check.

This unfortunate story should be a reminder to all of the importance and validity of the below concept.

Those several of you with OK SDA permits will remember the safety rules portion of the class leading up to the written test. Part of that discussion is a very strong suggestion that all firearms, except those in ready use, be kept secured, via a lock box, safe, etc.
