Wife wants to learn to shoot, reason to buy new pistol!

Wife wants me to teach her how to handle a pistol for emergencies.

Told her I need to get a .22 so I can teach her fundamentals without teaching bad anticipation habits. Good time to justify the need for another gun.

Dad had an old Ruger Mark I or II, was fun to shoot.

What is a decent semi without breaking the bank???

The Rugers or the Browning Buckmarks usually run pretty good.

I would suggest you narrow it to semi-auto's.
That way if she decides to get a CCW she'll be able to use it for that also.

And for what it's worth my favorite is the buckmark, but I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the big name brand 22's.
S&W, Browning, Rugers, Sig,.... .... .... etc.
