About 20 years back Browning (or was it Winchester) made a special run of these in .30-'06. They came in both rifle and carbine configurations. Japanese built and nicely made.

Some originals were also made in .30-40 Krag which was the U.S. service cartridge at the turn of the century. Be careful you understand what chambering you are getting if buying an early rifle.

Gun Broker and Guns America are places to look.

Easy to check online with the serial number to find out when/where it was made.

I've got a 1915 saddle ring carbine in 30-40.

One thing about the krag is ammo: You can usually only get it off the shelf once or twice a year, and it's about $2/round.
