Anyone know anything about this rifle, has a Montecargo Stock w/black end ca. Serial number G1434800. Age, value, how good a rifle is it. Any help would be helpful. Thanks.

I have one in .264WM
It's my favorite hunting rifle but it got retired last year. Mines in amazing shape, I got it from my grandpa so I'd like to keep it as nice as I can.
Not sure how the .243 would be in value but I've seen a few like mine and everyone was around the $1200 mark. Non were in as good of shape as mine either. I personally feel that's a little over priced for it though.

Yep Jimmy it is a 70s model gun. I recently sold a 1973 M70 in 30-06 for dirt cheap. They don't hold their value like the pre 64 does, however even with all the whining the pre 64 guys did when this action came out, I still don't know of anyone having issues with your model. If you like it. Keep it and shoot it.
