Woman shot while driving in Tulsa, OHP searches for suspect

TULSA, Okla. — A woman has been taken to the hospital after she was shot while driving on I-244 near Harvard and Yale in Tulsa.

Tulsa PD says the victim called 911 and said she was shot on the highway. Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are now looking for a possible suspect.

One lane is closed off while police investigate.

My daughter lived off Yale near one of those highways and it was a low income area for sure.
I have never had panhandlers approach me in the way the ones off Yale would do.

This was at a few little convenience stores near there.
If you stayed in your car they would bravely walk up and start tapping on your window.

Brave and no self respect at all.
I thought downtown okc was bad but Tulsa wins hands down.

Yeah, its gotten a LOT worse this past year. It used to be a few downtown, especially around Archer/Denver and e 15th st and Denver. But now those areas look like LA. As for this story, that is crazy. One has to wonder if this was random or road rage.

It’s a lower income area and I have seen tents next to the Harvard exit. But a mile away is the Tulsa University campus. It’s a freaking 8 lane highway through there. I want to know if the shot was from a vehicle.

Some time ago a woman jogging around Boomer Lake in Stillwater was shot in the back with a 22 by someone driving by. In spite of having a vehicle description, the shooter was never found (to the best on my knowledge).
