I find it quite ironic that this has only become an issue lately. In 2004 a friend of mine worked at the 71st/Garnett store. One of his co-workers was a classmate of mine and was flamboyantly gay. He worked there for about 3 months before the management figured out he wasn't just happy but a homosexual. He was promptly fired for being insubordinate, or at least thats what it said on the pink slip, he was verbally told that Chik Fil A doesn't believe in his lifestyle and as such cannot keep him as an employee. As I recall he contacted a couple of the tv stations in Tulsa and basically got laughed at as they hung up on him. Why did the media not want a piece of that? An 18 year old kid trying to earn honest money was fired for his sexual orientation. I'm not going to say my stance on same sex marriage or any of that because whether I agree with it or not he was discriminated against and it's BS. I must not be very upset over it though because I never quit eating there...
