Ive been thinking about this for some time as these new laws have been proposed. I only started owning and using firearms 8 years ago. My guns being taken away as property alone would suck. But they are NOT just property. They represent much more than just property to me. They are the means to my self defense and empowerment as a citizen. They wont save me from evil, but with them I feel I have a good chance to save myself. I have seen and unfortunately known evil people. Even without this frame of reference anyone can do a simple thought exercise when they hear about a mugging, beating, killing, or rape on the news and put themselves in that persons position. I have made a choice for myself to be armed. If I ever am a victim, it will NOT be from a lack of return fire. The ability to protect myself is something I will never knowingly give up now. I believe many other people see the same things and have the same feelings. So YES new gun laws will literally make outlaws of probably millions of normal up to now law abiding people.
