Would you choose 1 high-end over 2 low-end?

It depends on what you mean by "high" and "low".

Are you saying high = 2 * low?

Because many would say a "high end" AR-15 is in the neighborhood of $2000, where a "low end" would be under $500.

In a sense, this is exactly what I've done with my ARs.

I have three, which I could sell and buy one high end AR. But I have no intentions of doing so. I have a 20" match barreled 5.56, a 16" lightweight 5.56, and a 8.5" pistol .300blk. Other than needing to register the 8.5" so I can put a stock on it, I've pretty much got my bases covered.

Alrighty then, average price for 7 "high end" rifles is $2100+.

(LaRue OBR, KAC SR-15, BCM RECCE, LMT CQB MRP, LWRC IC-A5 16", Noveske 16" Light Recce, DDM4V11)

So, one "average" high end AR-15 for $2100, or two """low end""" for $1050 each. No brainer.

I'd take (2) $1000 rifles over (1) $2000 rifle any day.
