[QUOTE="Freedom@AnyCost, post: 2172947, member: 29628"] In some people's OPINION it is "Reasonable". In others, it is not. I think the concept is reasonable but the ONLY means of enforcing it would be coup d'etat for the 2nd Amendment. Universal BG checks would absolutely positively lead to universal registration of all firearms, no if's and's or but's. Not today, not tomorrow, probably not for another 20 to 50 years but it WILL happen if this law is passed. Even if enforceable, his law would stop nothing. Criminals and the insane will still get their hands on firearms no matter what law is passed and they will continue to cause the same carnage fueling this debate. Once this law is passed it will see the same rate of noncompliance as the thousands of other unenforceable gun laws on the books (noncompliance with laws is what criminals do - hence the term "Criminal"). The massacres that will occur in the future (an INEVITABILITY in a country of 300 million +) will be similarly capitalized upon by the next generation of 2nd Amendment Abolitionists to make the case for "Common Sense" universal firearm registration. They will correctly argue this "REASONABLE" next step is the only way to have any chance to enforce the well intentioned universal background check laws passed by the previous generation.
