WTH? I just saw my lifetime hunting license has an expiration date!

In biblical times some would have had to renew w/a 200 year expiration. However I don't think a license was required back then.

I got mine in April '91 and has no expiration so I guess I'm good forever. Paid 400 for the combo.

Actually, it is just a requirement of the new "license system" that everything with an issue date has an expiration date. So the lifetimes are set for 200 years.

Not any more than if you get a 1 year license, you are guaranteed to live out the year.

Or they would cost a lot more, and a lot more people would buy them.

It's very cool that my money gets to make money for the ODW while in the lifetime program and after I'm gone. I used to know how it was invested, but slept a couple of times since then.
A lot of folks don't know that the ODW doesn't get funds from the legislature like some states. Its funded by license sales, Pittman-Robertson tax revenues, and private donations along with the interest earned from lifetime license sales. The first dollar of the first lifetime sale is still out there earning money.
