You just have to use the right powder, charge and bullet, that's all. MagSafe's SWAT 357 Sig load is 45 grs at 2500 fps, 5" barrel. 170 gr 30-30 is just 2200 fps. THV got a 45 gr 9mm to 2300 fps in a 5" barrel, over 30 years ago. The reason such ammo is not sold to the public is not that it's unreliable in autoloaders, inaccurate, etc. The reason is that it shoots thru soft armor.
