Fawns this late are often the years previous fawns that came into esterous in February or later and end up getting bred. Happens more than you would think.

True. I was kind of amazed to see some scrapes as late as Feb at the farm. I just atributed it to boys being boys, but like others I've seen several spotted fawns as recently as last night.
I was disking a wheat field, coming up on a brushy area, and had two get up and trot away. Never did see Mom, just the fawns. They had just about lost their spots.

For the record, in some posts past, I posted pics of a single spotted buck fawn that was living in our yard, and drinking from the pool.
We wondered if he would make it, and in the last few days, have spotted a single fawn eating and bedding 200' from our back fence. Noise, etc doesn't seem to bother it. Pretty cool.
