One of my favorite shooters is this 4 5/8" Ruger Single Six:

I always start out a range session with it. It has both a standard and magnum cylinder and with both you can shoot every 22 rimfire ammo on the planet that I know of. It also has a nice heavy centerfire style firing pin that seems to light off anything. 337 rounds fired of every type of cheap bulk stuff and -zero- failures.
I had a Buck Mark I foolishly sold. Even worse is the reason I sold it, at the time I felt it was just too easy to shoot well...
