First off I am new to AK's I traded for a Zastava pap Ak. this is not marked Npap or opap. it does have the notched safty like to n pap but it does not have an optic rail on the reciever. It does have a rail pinned to the top of the dust cover. It does accept standard 30 round AK mags. It has wood furniture with a rubber stock pad. Someone told me it was good AK can someone please educate me as to what I can have.
i believe its a M70 NPAP but an earlier one. The first ones had the cover rail and later a side rail on the receiver. I may be wrong but I beleive the OPAP rifles have the heavier receiver with protrusions in the front for the RPK type front trunnion. Not sure just going off rifles Ive seen at shows.
Zastava M70 are very good AK's for the money. I had an M70 B1 and never had any problems with it. Always shot whatever I put in it....
