I have a CZ 457 in .17 HMR Bull barrel. I had a cleaning tip come off the rod apparently and did not notice it missing. Next time I went to shoot it, BANG.. noise, smoke and some blood running of my left hand where the plastic mag blew apart. Cracked the stock in two places.
I bought a new KRG stock and it still shot good at 75 yards. But when I went to a 235 yard match with slight wind, it seemed to be all over. Before this, I always had tight groups at the 235 yard line. CZ won't do anything unless it is in the original stock.
Since I had another match coming up. I bought a Lilija Barrel for it. Tied 2nd place in 20 to 35 mph wind gust.. But I hate to throw away what might still be a good barrel. Or if anyone wants to take a change.... Make offer!
