My general area, put a feeder out today.

I’m in Tulsa for the show but my wife just texted that we had a male at the feeder just now.

How do you tell male from female?

How do you tell male from female?

Ruby throat males will have a bright reddish to pink patch on the throat. You could see a black chinned male which will have a purple iridescent patch.

We get a few black chinned too

I put my feeder out tonight, hoping to see those birds soon.

My wife just saw him again. I’ve looked out there many times today with no luck.
