I've amassed a small bit of coin over the winter months,,,
I'm thinking of scoping the venerable 629,,,
But I have no idea what to buy.
I know I don't want to drill & tap the pistol,,,
Is there a mount that clamps to the upper frame?
I would like to make this revolver "minute of whitetail" at 50 yards,,,
Not that I'll ever taker it out hunting for a deer,,,
But I want it to be capable of doing it.
I also know nothing about pistol scopes.
What would be a specific brand & model,,,
That will withstand the recoil of a 44 Magnum revolver?
Like I said,,,
It's just an idea that popped into my head,,,
After I saw a scoped 617 at The Evil Pawn Shop.
So if anyone has a 629 set-up like I'm describing,,,
Please post a pic and whatever info on the mount/scope that you can.
Thanks in advance.
Aarond
P.S. If I actually do this,,,
I'll probably repeat it with my 6" 686 as well.
