I don’t practice as much as I should but usually 100 to 150 yards. If you’re familiar with the land SE of Ada, it’s hilly and we have a lot of large sandstone boulders as big as 55 gallon barrels and larger that I shoot at occasionally, at longer distances just to see if I can hit them.I need to get me an anaconda! How far do you practice shooting that thing?
Thanks! I bought it from a guy that really took care of it.Looks nice!
I had one in .38, manufactured in 1888. Cut down some .38 Spl, (IIRC) load with 2.8 gr Unique and 125 gr LRN. Pretty wimpy load. But, good shooter, in DA and SA. Shot a few BP loads, but accuracy was meh. History was cool, but too fragile for me. I keep chooters, not safe queens. Would like to still have it, but don't regret trading it.Colt Model 1877 DA in .41 caliber. Same model Billy the Kid had on him when shot (per Garrett) and also owned by John Wesley Hardin (2). Doc Holiday is said to have favored one, but it's debated whether he had one in .41 or in .38. This one was made in 1902.
Hey!!! I think we’re all upside down sometimes !!!! JMHOSorry about upside down pics
